It has lots of company. The first third of the book is mostly about her and him, and us, me and my brothers, as babies. This book tells of his life growing up and the challenges his family was up against, with an alcoholic and mostly absent father.

Perhaps similar to Lovely Bones rhe The Sweet Hereafter Banks in that they are able to take tragic events and deliver them to readers with great beauty. A powerful tribute of love!
